Let me know when it can be purchased at NG Store, and I'll surely pick it up!

Sure, thanx.
It will be in aprox. 3 weeks.

Cool Stuff! Hey, hate to bring it up, but have you done anything more on scoring out thracian for me? heh heh, a friend of mine who's also a jazz trumpet player, listened to it and loved it, and wants to see some of what's behind it

Thanx man, sorry for being totally unfashionable late with that. PM'ed you about.

lol ur famous

I'm famous just because I'm friend with Dali
LOL

hey soro,
it's really nice to see that NG has a professional musician like you around. I hope your album reaches a lot of people here and outside NG.

Thanx man, thanx, really appreciate. Sorry to answer quite late, a lot of stuff going on.

Dude sweet. I hope your album kicks ass. I too, hope someday to let out and album and become a professional musician. I can say only one thing, I respect you a lot and I am happy that you let out an album, because it shows how pro you are at your job. Good luck in your future projects!

Thanx man, thanx.
I hope that soon the album will be available in NG store ;)
Good luck also to you.

Excellent horn playing on that vid, and love that two mic setup. Was curious what mics were being used and how they were mixed in final mixdown? I've yet to record anything but vocals through my setup, but I'm always interested in learning how the sound engineers take each instrument and mold it to their aural vision.

One is a SM 57 and the other might be an AKG Perception, but I'm not sure.
That album is out too, at Musea Records ;)

Thanx man.

I'll have to be honest with you - I had never really gotten into your music until I heard some of your more jazz-influenced pieces.

As of now, I have a number of them on my iPod, and I have to say you're easily the greatest jazz musician ever to set foot on Newgrounds!

Thanx man, thanx.
I love jazz and crossover styles that involve jazz :)
As for "greatest jazz musician ever to set foot on Newgrounds", I feel flattered but there are some people that I consider better jazz musicians, like SSM-NW.

Hey man, once again congrats on the album and hope it's selling well! Two things: 1) Not to be a pressing person or anything but I'm still waiting on the rest of that midi for Thracian-whatever-ya-call-it-now and on a lighter note 2) Got myself a nice little bach Bb trumpet to start playing over. It's no xeno but hey, it works, heh. Little weird for me because I'm so used to playing C instruments (T-bone, Euphonium, Piano) and having to transpose a little when talking about things is a little odd and confusing.

1) I thought I sent you the MIDI already, check your inbox, should be there for a while.
2) Bach might be better than a Yamaha Xeno, Yamaha instruments are very good with intonation (pitch) but Bach have better sound (different metal mixture).
3) After a while you'll get used to play/ think in Bb, you'll even think normal and transposed at the same time :))

The whole time I was watching that first video I was thinking "why the fuck hasn't he had a trumpet solo yet? What the fuck is this?" Then it happened and my penis got hard. Curious, how much of that solo was rehearsed/ planned? I feel like with American television, every-time someone does a solo it's practiced to sound exactly the same as it did in rehearsal. In no way shape or form is that a bad thing, I'm just curious if they gave you any freedom with it?

:))) LOL
Man, that was improvising, all the solo.
There are several more versions, live, on youtube.

So, erection from my soloing... that means that I play like a puss ?
Oh, wait, you think I'm a girl and my wife's the man... hm... you're right then :))))

Alright then, my next question will be where that aired on tv? Sounds like you got more freedom than what I would have expected from out of north america years back... but given the fact that mtv and vh1 no longer play music I guess you really don't see too many live performances any more on tv here now anyways...

Also, it's great that they let you do what you wanted to do but at least tell me the transpositions in-between the solos were planned? If not, it would be pretty crazy you both found the same notes at the same time :P

That's actually from footage that was on TV, on national TV station. Was quite a big event.
There is somewhere a concert that we had on New Year Eve, also on national TV station.

The structure kind is fixed, just what we did inside the structure was quite free (like chord backing on keys, guitar riffs and solos) all the fixed parts (brass parts, structural parts like modulation...etc) were rehearsed and agreed.
