"We Will Rock You" Trumpet Tutorial

Posted by sorohanro - December 18th, 2021

For several years I write transcriptions and tutorials based on popular rock, funk, sometimes pop or mainstream traditional music, to try to motivate pupils to learn trumpet.

Here's my trumpet version of Queen's "We Will Rock You":

"We Will Rock You" is written by Brian May and was recorded and performed by the band "Queen". It has a very catchy and iconic beat; stomp-stomp-clap-pause which is recognizable by all generations.

I love it when brass instruments get demystified. This kind of stuff was too complicated for me to understand in first grade. I couldn't grasp how certain hand gestures correlated to specific notes so seeing the basics as an adult is a good treat. Thanks for working on this Mihai, loved the charm. Those setting transitions were pro. Three locations for a video that could have been shot in one room while wearing a bathrobe? NOPE, we are at the sea side now :D :D :D

Also sorry, those stems you sent me are still sitting on my desktop. I've listened to them all and got a little overwhelmed trying to psych myself up into the first steps of writing a new song. I have no discipline *blush*

Thanks for your constant support. By the way, new trumpet tutorial; "Jingle Bells".
This time just one location. No bathrobe, but a Christmas hat :D
