Got a new guitar and feel like is a good idea to share the good news with newgrounders :)
It's a Epiphone Joe Pass model with Seymour Duncan pickups and without the pickguard, awesome for jazz, blues, rock, indie-alternative stuff but the best is for jazz and blues (well funk as well).

all gibson ES-inspired look like heaven and sound like class. Congratulations
question, how is the binding on the edge of the fretboard? Is it painted over like on a les paul (<a href="http://lespaul-guitar.com/guitar-images/2007-Gibson-Les-Paul-Custom-Shop.jpg">http://lespaul-guitar.com/guitar-imag es/2007-Gibson-Les-Paul-Custom-Shop.j pg</a>) or are they just punched into the fretboard like on a strat (<a href="http://www.pinrepair.com/vgi/fender/59_strat-1_14.jpg">http://www.pinrepair.com/vgi/fender/5 9_strat-1_14.jpg</a>)? I'm considering getting a dot and removing the frets for a fretless guitar but if the fretboard isn't like in the second pic it'll look terrible :(

Thanks :)
Mine it's like in the first pic (not sure if 'painted over" is the correct term) but on "dot" series is simple like in second pic.
