Music and Drugs

Posted by sorohanro - December 4th, 2011

I see from time to time popping out on forums some discussions about drugs, how is music influenced by drugs usage and many "hipsters" giving "cool" advice.
So, watch the video and tell me if THAT is what you want to become and if THAT is what you want in control of your music.

Give that guy a lapel mic and autotune him. No joke.

Would be a horror pop song... It seems that somebody do very bad and painful things to him and he is begging for mercy.

he's got some sick moves

:))) Literally sick.

Actually, this reminds me of a Battle of The Bands I took part in back in highschool. One of our guitarists tripped morning glory seeds and he didn't come out of the trip for about a month. We were afraid it would be permanent.

The band was getting ready to play for the Battle with a replacement but when the guy came back from the hospital we were all really happy to have him join us for the show. As we were getting ready to go on I guess the pressure got to the guy and he relapsed. We weren't really sure what to do with him so we took a risk and let him join us on stage minus his guitar. He started yelling incomprehensibly into the mics, danced around the stage like a tornado and played with his hacky sac a few times times. Out of around 20 bands, we took 3rd and were mentioned by the local paper as "being the band with the most drama." I really liked the judge panel so it was an added bonus that they thought we were good/ entertaining.

Drugs should never be the primary influence on a persons work but I personally would never turn down free inspiration every now and then. Good things can come from inebriation in responsible dosages once and a while. One of Steve Jobs most famous quotes is on his use of LSD and how it had probably been one of the most important experiences of his life. I have a best friend that can say the same.

My brother's one important experience was with some drugs (not LSD like Steve Jobs). He took something (don't know what) and after that he found himself naked, with needles in his arms on a hospital bed. He found out that he felt in a small river near our home, face down and nearly drowned.
Not really the most inspirational experience...
