well ...

you say "this isn't standard jazz " but i feel like i disagree, this is jazz (jazz-fusion, jazz-rock ... whatever you call it), from the complex harmony to the bass groove, from the concept of having theme(head)- impro/solo and then again the theme ...
thin is not only jazz, this is QUALITY jazz, i loved it

just added to my fav's

5/5 and 11/10 (if possible)

loved

i just loved the kazoo solo
is it hard to learn to master that marvelous/ fabulous instrument ?
from the first guitar notes you can tell is a studio quality recording, the panned guitars give a lot of space, also the voice aranging is good
congratulations

Ginchy responds:

glad you thought so much of the production quality... did this in my studio apartment with minimal equipment. An AKG C1000S microphone, an acoustic guitar, some drum loops and vocal overdubs. i never got around to adding bass or any lead instruments... or doing an official version of this song. this is actually a throwaway... a buddy of mine said I should submit it. Show's what I know, people seem to like it better than the stuff I consider complete.

10 all the way

well, after liatening that i'm kind of speachless
i added to my fav's
i would like to listen it more, but my speakers are on fire ... guess it was WAY TOO FAST !!!
5/5 10/10

not only

i don't know if i'm breacking some rules by reviewing a colaborative project in wich i'm in ...
still, for me to be able to play on something, that something have to be good
i found that tune very inspiring, the guitar lines were there somehow before i played those
everything is very clear, from chord progressions to mix, everything is just in the right place
i like also very much the structure

kelwynshade responds:

Haha, that's cool. Your guitar work is inspiring to me as well. It's actually pushing me in the direction of working on a song with your guitar playing in mind.

Which just might have to happen soon.

But yeah, the guitar has done this song justice. Rock'on, brothah!

not really

not really jazz, more like D'n'B, but definatley a good one
i like the "athmospheric" piano of Bill Evans, i like the almost waltz rhythm in some places (around 1:40)
so, comclusion is :
A lot of love for Spartacus :p

LLAAPPSSEE responds:

Ambient jazz! Hah. I dont see this as D'n'B at all though..where's the 'reese'? ha.
Yeah, i enjoy waltz's actually. I like the rhythm they have.
Waltz for Debby is a very beautiful Evans song. I've been thinking about a remix of that as well.

Heh heh. Yes, a lot of love. : D
Thank you for the review. I'm gonna check out some of your tunes!

don't we all ?

don't we all love FL ?
actually you can roughly cut it on bars (say 4 or 8 or 16) and call it a loop
i like the panning keyboards and the rhythm

rifftrax responds:

I LOOOOOOVVEE FL.

FRAPPACINO LIZARDS ARE DEFINITELY THE BEST!!!

and everyone nose its true

no way to be less than 10*

i am a fan of yourmusic for quite a while
this tune have a very "Steve Vai-ish" feeling, i could listen it on and on for hours
the very melodic solo lines blended with some crazy liks and atonal parts, just in the right proportions... truly amazing
no way less than 10* and 5/5

don't you just love fruity ?

not bad, not bad at all
in some places kind of atonal, but that is a quality if you'll ask me
i like the construction, how that "build up" tension

loops perfect (no question about, is FL after all)

littlerampage08 responds:

Thanks for the review man
i tried to have it build up, but the ending result was a little crowded to be honest

10 votes and only 3.38 ?

fuck ... no way
that should be fixed
you get better and better ... i should check your music more often
and 5 bomb from time to time ;)

Bosa responds:

Zero voters always win...

Until we join the Zero Resistance.

that's your best work till now

from the first violin sound that kept my atention
liked the horn intervention, the way you build melody, the way tension is growing
the bells are "the cherry on top"
also the piano in the end

welcome to my favourite list

Don't be bitter, be better. (A.Madubuko) Flesh will rot but songs remain in ages. (Citrina)
