finally

After listening a load of shit that pretends to be jazz but is actually just some sax loops over random other sax loops, finally a jazz tune that is actually jazz ... and music ... good music

not the best recording but not the worst either, I would go for a more arranged structure (theme twice, improvisation, theme again)
what I like:
guitar tone, very funky and smooth
drums, adding a nice groove
guitar and bass playing, good and clear
bass groove, very shuffle, move all the tune and give life to everything you put on top
what I dislike:
lack of structure in the tune (lack of theme or something that "grab" my ears)
lack of structure in the percussion (those seems not to follow any solo or part)

overall is good, those "dislikes" don't really take anything from my 10*
congrats ;)

cool

I like the guitar tone, clean and sharp ("glassy" I can say also), the dist. guitar sound reminds me of Santana.
On the solo could had some more Santana style tricks/licks but is nice also how it is now.

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Yeah, I'm thinking of playing more with it, soon. I've dropped the block out of my guitar at the moment, to be able to use my "whammy" for metaljonus's backing track...so I'll get at it again.
Thank you, sorohanro.\m/

wow

that will be hard to beat ...
I like the way you built a theme (quite melodic) on it and, yep, then insane soloing
good concept, good tone ...
5/5 10/10

delay

nice solo even that is no Yngwie, but with the right amount of delay sounds more than decent
delay will save us all :))

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Delay is my friend, today. haha.

sexxy

that's cool and hot at the same time.
I might try my hand or ... maybe a trumpet solo ... on it ... I'll see these days
cheers
a, btw, the lead guitar is ... :p

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Actually dude, trumpet solo, like an evil Mariachi mexicanny feel...would rule!!

glassy

liked the "glassy" clean tone
also the dist. solo

Metaljonus responds:

Thanks man!

sorry

awfully mixing, way too much volume on recording, that's what you have clipping.
try to record on lower volume and then amplify it in a program (whatever you use)
try also to EQ the guitar on it's specific frequencies not to interfere with other instruments
if you use FL for the final mix, on Master chanell put the "Fruty Multiband Compressor" on preset "Mastering 2.4 db"
that for beginning, later you can learn more about mixing and make your own adjustments

cHunter responds:

Yeah, I know. This was just a test to show how i t sounded. I did have the volume on my amp set to 0. But thanks for the tips on mixing, I didn't know how to do that. :3

Although I believe I figured out the problem. I plugged the cord into the microphone jack, not the line in. >_<

maybe

maybe is not really jazz (like Coltrane or Miles) but have a ... happy cheerful jazzy feel.
i like the wacky orchestration :)) very "cartoonish"
too bad that funerals season is over

nice

as a song is nice, mixing still can be improved, the backing voices are too "in the front", maybe a little bit more compression and less volume.
loved how the violin sound on it.

not bad

i'm gonna 5'v you 'cause you'v been o-bombed :D
anyway, not bad, i like the keyboards, show that your dad have experience and knows harmony and is familiar with styles.
on the other hand, your guitar tone is not bluesy enough, is too synthetic, like you're using a cheap processor.
also, try to get out of that pentatonic/blues scale, try to listen to some jazz guitarists and learn more harmony, try to enrich your playing.
as i see, you have quite a bright future in music.
Good Luck

Don't be bitter, be better. (A.Madubuko) Flesh will rot but songs remain in ages. (Citrina)
